Jan Caputo
opened ABC Music as a needed
community service and
“retirement gig” that has grown
to be a delightful retail
operation. She enjoys spending
time with her customers and with
the help of a few friends still
finds time to make music. Jan is
a professional violist, former
medical librarian, and retired
clinical neuropsychologist. She
is also a noted author,
educator, and speaker. Jan is a
member of Quartet con Spirito
and the Alma Symphony Orchestra,
and plays occasionally with the
Midland Symphony, Traverse City
Symphony, Cadillac Symphony, and
other orchestras. She often
performs as a soloist, in a
viola-piano duo known as
Filigree, and in chamber
ensembles with colleagues. She
teaches beginning strings for a
local after school program in
addition to maintaining a small
private studio of violin and
viola students. |
